Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage dysrhythmias; provide post-MI and acute cardiac care as appropriate
- Deliver care for diverse patient populations including cardiac, respiratory, infectious diseases (e.g., COVID), pre/post-op, endocrine, and CVA
- Initiate and manage IV therapy, PICC/peripheral lines, blood products, and heparin/insulin protocols
- Utilize non-invasive airway support (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP) and assist with airway management as needed
- Perform chest tube and tracheostomy care; wound care including Wound VAC; PCA administration
- Participate in seizure management, isolation precautions, and stroke protocol adherence
Requirements
- NY RN license in good standing (in hand to submit)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience; PCU/tele or med-surg experience preferred
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced PCU/Tele/Med-Surg environment; willingness to float to sister units West 2, West 3, and Observation
