Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on mixed Med-Surg and Telemetry units, including assessment, monitoring, and ongoing documentation.
- Monitor telemetry data, interpret rhythm strips, and respond to arrhythmias or alarms per protocol.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and initiate basic treatments as prescribed; monitor for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other health professionals to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, patient education, and accurate charting in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (RN registration) and BLS certification required.
- Solid telemetry experience on Med-Surg Telemetry units; able to manage patients with cardiac monitoring needs.
- Ability to work a 3x12 day shift in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.
- Prior travel or acute care experience preferred to support transition and integration into the workflow.
