Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, administer medications and therapies as prescribed, and document care accurately
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; adjust plans as patient needs evolve
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; provide supervision with professional judgment
• Coordinate care with other disciplines, communicate effectively with patients and families, and exercise critical thinking and independent judgment
• Ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and quality standards; maintain accurate charting and compliance with documentation requirements
