Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele (Neuro Med-Surg) position available for a night-shift traveler in Saint Louis, Missouri. Start date 05/04/2026, with a travel assignment on a 3x12 Night shift and an expected weekly pay of $2,076 to $2,220. This role is on a neuro and general medical–surgical telemetry unit within an acute care setting. The assignment is travel - temporary, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and orientation to be completed prior to start.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults on the Neuro Med-Surg Tele unit, including neurology, stroke/CVA, orthopedics, and general med/surg patients
- Monitor telemetry, manage IV access, start/maintain IVs, and operate PCA as appropriate
- Administer medications, implement care plans, and participate in stroke care and post-op med/surg protocols
- Perform bedside assessments, respond to rapid responses and codes, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds
- Document in EPIC, track vital signs, and ensure isolation/PPE precautions are followed
- Maintain patient safety under a 1:6 night-shift nurse-patient ratio and assist with patient/family education
Requirements
- Education: RN degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) required
- Licensure: Active RN license in good standing; pending license accepted per facility policy
- Certifications: BCLS (BLS) and NIHSS required; ACLS required by compliance hard deadline
- Experience: 2 years of Neuro Med-Surg or telemetry experience preferred; first-timers accepted
- Skills: Telemetry monitoring, IV starts/maintenance, PICC management, PCA experience, stroke and ortho/post-op med/surg care, isolation/PPE precautions
- Practice environment: Ability to work nights on a 3x12 schedule; EPIC charting experience; willingness to float to other units within the hospital (excluding ICU, SDU, ED)
- Compliance notes: Submittal deadline and RTO rules apply; non-local candidates (75-mile radius rule) preferred; RTO must be declared at submittal and cannot be changed once submitted
