Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate care for Med-Surg patients, with knowledge of age-appropriate needs
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses
- Monitor vital signs and clinical status; identify and respond to changes in condition
- Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning and care coordination
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and other care team members to ensure continuity of care
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and adhere to safety and infection control standards
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Med-Surg nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including rotating night shifts
- Travel assignment eligibility; must be willing to relocate or commute as required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting
- Travel eligibility policy: in-state travelers are not accepted unless located more than 250 miles from the assignment location
