Responsibilities
- Assess patients across a medical-surgical population and contribute to planning, directing, and evaluating nursing care.
- Implement and monitor evidence-based care plans; administer medications and monitor responses per orders.
- Monitor patient status, identify changes in condition, and escalate as needed; collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the medical record; ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care; participate in discharge planning and transitions of care.
- Maintain patient safety and infection control practices; advocate for quality care across age groups served.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work a rotating shift in an inpatient care setting
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment; note: in-state travelers will not be considered unless located more than 250 miles from Havre
