Responsibilities
- Provide integrated, holistic nursing care to Med Surg patients in coordination with the health care team.
- Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care that addresses priority health needs.
- Educate and involve patients and families to enable attainment and maintenance of optimum health; support discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Practice professional nursing that complies with Montana state statutes and the national Nurse Practice Acts.
- Care for predominantly adult Med Surg patients; pediatric cases are rare.
- Perform core Med Surg duties including assessments, vital signs, medication administration, documentation, and basic wound and IV therapy as appropriate.
Requirements
- Current Montana RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Med Surg nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital Med Surg inpatient setting and participate in a rotating 3x12-hour shift schedule
