Responsibilities

• Coordinate and organize personnel and other resources to meet patient care functions in a cost-effective manner; provide crisis management and interpret policy to ensure timely communication across departments
• Continuously monitor daily operations by integrating data from electronic systems, direct communication, and unit rounds to assure patient care effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction
• Allocate and redirect resources to assure safety and quality of patient care, considering acuity, care demands, unit requirements, and staff skill mix
• Manage the routine flow of admissions and patient placement to maximize capacity and improve satisfaction for patients, families, and referring providers
• Lead the organizational response during times of high census, collaborating with department leaders, the Emergency Department, Surgery, Critical Care, Cath Lab, and Inpatient Nursing Units to maintain continuity of care
• Provide leadership and supervision, supporting night-shift operations and ensuring effective collaboration across teams
  
  

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in the State of Maine or a compact licensure
• 3–5 years progressive management/leadership experience required; 5 years preferred
• Previous experience as a Charge Nurse, Unit Coordinator, or Director is preferred
• Ability to work night shifts with call rotation; comfortable operating in a high census environment
• Must meet job-specific qualifications and be able to function effectively in a fast-paced, detailed-oriented setting
