Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients with telemetry monitoring
• Monitor vitals, telemetry data, and patient status; perform ongoing assessments and update care plans
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders, including Cardizem and insulin drips for appropriate conditions; manage telemetry-specific therapies as ordered
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and communicate changes to physicians and families
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure safety, infection control, and quality standards are met
• Prepare patients for discharge, including patient and family education and coordination with case management as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license in New Hampshire or a compact state at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in a Med Surg Tele or related setting; travel experience preferred
• Ability to pass a Dysrhythmia exam with 80% on onboarding; Nursys license verification required for active licenses
• RTO (special leave) must be requested and included at submission
• EMR experience; Cerner preferred but not required; comfortable with Cardizem and insulin drips; may work with Phenobarbital on Telemetry
• Willingness to float to related units within the system as needed
