Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) Travel assignment in Watertown, NY. Start date: 05/11/2026 for a 13-week duration. Night shift (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay range: $2,393–$2,514. Work setting: hospital emergency department. This position is a travel temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to ER patients across a wide range of acuity, including initial assessment, triage, monitoring, and ongoing treatment
• Administer medications, perform IV placement, and implement prescribed therapies while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and other disciplines to coordinate timely interventions and safe patient transitions
• Document patient care accurately in the MEDITECH electronic health record; communicate effectively with the care team and patient families
• Recognize life-threatening changes, intervene promptly, and assist with stabilizing patients; may assume charge nurse duties as assigned
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, including safe patient handling and use of lifting devices as appropriate; support discharge planning and education
  
  

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer
• MEDITECH experience required
• Travel experience required
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Additional preferred qualifications: critical care and charge experience
