Responsibilities

• Contribute to formulation of the patient care plan based on clinical input and assessment findings
• Attend weekly clinical staffing and review of patient treatment plans
• Provide medication education to patients and families
• Monitor and document emotional and mental observations; report changes to the medical and clinical team and ensure accurate chart entries
• Lead teaching and educational groups according to the APU schedule
• Train LPNs and MHTs in charting, vital signs, patient routines, proper vital sign techniques, and de-escalation strategies
• Act as an active member of a PI team or other unit-specific task forces
• Accept lectures, educational or marketing assignments as directed by the Unit Manager
• Maintain Therapeutic Options certification up to date
• Model professional behavior and demonstrate supportive communication, dress, hygiene, and conduct for patients and staff
  
  

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma RN license
• Certifications: NIH, BLS (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of psychiatric/behavioral health experience (required)
• De-escalation training (preferred)
• Recent traveler experience (preferred)
• Ability to work in a hospital-based behavioral health setting on a travel assignment
