Our Healthcare client in Valhalla, NY is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations.
Contract: This is a 3-month contract to cover someone on FMLA.
ONSITE schedule: Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 4 years of managerial experience in payroll
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with automated staff scheduling and timekeeping systems
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Desired system knowledge: Paragon
Responsibilities
- Processes the payroll
- Oversees the day to day administrative process relating to payroll, and interacts with payroll managers across network for streamlining of processes
- Complete retroactive payroll adjustments as necessary
- Interact with department managers in relation to payroll related issues.
- Ensures compliance with garnishment, tax changes, and tax compliance as well as federal and state laws
- Acts independently and in conjunction with the Finance Staff and Network Director of Payroll
- Implements improved automation to maximize payroll productivity and quality, conducting special studies or tasks as required
- Works with the Human Resources Department and Benefits to integrate data to ensure best overall organizational practices
- Assists with internal and external audit data requests
- Assists with annual budget process relating to payroll
- Other duties as assigned.
