- Perform comprehensive wound assessments, staging, and treatment planning
- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans
- Monitor healing progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and compliance
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate staff on wound care protocols, prevention, and best practices
- Support infection control and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in rotational on-call coverage as needed
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida (required)
- Wound Care Certification (WCC, WOCN, or equivalent) required
- Experience in wound care within a skilled nursing or healthcare setting (required)
- Wound staging and treatment protocols
- Infection control practices
- Documentation and regulatory compliance
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF/LTC)
- Familiarity with electronic health records (PCC preferred)
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- A clinically strong, detail-oriented wound care nurse
- Someone who takes ownership of outcomes and quality
- A team player who can also work independently
- A professional passionate about improving resident care and healing outcomes
