Strong Nursing Leadership Needed Immediately

Liberty Health Care Center is seeking an experienced, hands-on Interim Director of Nursing (DON), RN, to provide immediate clinical leadership and operational support within our skilled nursing facility.

This is a high-impact interim opportunity for a proven SNF nurse leader who can step in quickly, support the nursing team, drive accountability, and help maintain strong clinical operations and regulatory compliance.

We are looking for a confident, solutions-focused leader who understands the fast-paced nature of Skilled Nursing and can provide stability, direction, and support to the clinical team.

Candidates must reside within driving distance of Liberty, TX to be considered for this role. Relocation is not available for this interim position.

What You’ll Do

• Clinical Leadership
• Oversee day-to-day nursing operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility
• Provide leadership and direction to RN, LVN, and CNA teams
• Support staffing management, accountability, and clinical oversight
• Conduct rounds and monitor resident care delivery
• Regulatory & Quality Oversight
• Maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance
• Support Quality Measures, infection prevention, and QAPI initiatives
• Assist with audits, clinical systems, and corrective action follow-up
• Monitor documentation, resident care concerns, and clinical processes
• Team Support & Operational Stability
• Mentor and support nursing leadership staff and floor nurses
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and resident-centered care
• Collaborate closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team
• Help stabilize and strengthen clinical operations during the interim period
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Current, active Texas RN license REQUIRED
• Previous Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility REQUIRED
• Strong understanding of:
• CMS regulations
• survey process
• staffing management
• infection prevention
• Quality Measures
• QAPI
• Ability to step into a leadership role quickly and confidently
• Hands-on leadership style with strong communication and organizational skills
• Must reside within driving distance of Liberty, TX
