Role Overview: Provides a safe, supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff in a behavioral health inpatient setting. Assists in delivering care to individuals with mental health diagnoses, ensuring therapeutic activities, groups, and daily schedules are followed. Guides direct care staff to help patients achieve treatment goals and promotes safety through de-escalation and preventative strategies.

- Supports treatment by educating on behavioral management and building positive relationships.
- Maintains safety by directing interventions, de-escalating patients, and monitoring for risks.
- Participates in crisis management, documentation, and application of seclusion/restraints when necessary.
- Assesses patients, documents interventions, and suggests treatment goals aligned with legal and ethical standards.
- Contributes to performance improvement initiatives, promotes patient satisfaction, and aids in process enhancements.
- Assists with discharge planning, community referrals, and educates patients and families on managing behavioral challenges.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science.
- Minimum 1 year of behavioral health experience.
- Certifications in CPI (within 3 months) and BLS (within 30 days).
- Fluent in English with basic computer skills, critical thinking, and ability to handle stressful situations.
