- Assists in patient assessments, develops and revises individualized treatment plans, and ensures compliance with legal and safety protocols.
- Facilitates therapeutic groups and individual sessions using evidence-based models, primarily brief therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Maintains a safe, nurturing milieu by setting behavioral limits, de-escalating crises with CPI techniques, and monitoring patient safety.
- Supports patients and families, addresses patient strengths and impairments, and documents interventions accurately.
- Contributes to performance improvement initiatives, promotes patient satisfaction, and participates in unit and hospital committees.
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Certifications in CPI (within 3 months) and BLS (within 30 days).
- Advanced reading, writing, and oral communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Basic computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse populations and team members.
