Detailed Job Description: Experienced Oracle BI Publisher (Oracle Analytics Publisher) Template Developer with strong expertise in designing and implementing XML-based RTF report templates. The role focuses on separating data logic from report layout and delivering high-quality, formatted reports integrated with the Oracle BI Publisher environment

Key Responsibilities

Template Design & Development

Design and develop report templates using Oracle BI Publisher Desktop add-on for Microsoft Word.

Load and work with sample XML data files generated from Oracle BI Publisher data models.

Map XML elements to report layouts using Table Wizard and Insert Field options.

Apply standard Word-based formatting (fonts, styles, colors, tables) to create professional report layouts.

Implement dynamic report logic, including: Repeating groups Conditional formatting, If/Then/Else logic

Save and manage templates in RTF (Rich Text Format).

Testing & Preview

Use BI Publisher’s built-in Preview functionality to validate report output.

Validate reports across multiple output formats such as PDF and Excel.

Ensure data accuracy, formatting consistency, and layout quality.

BI Publisher Integration

Register and maintain Data Definitions in Oracle XML Publisher Administrator.

Upload and associate RTF templates with corresponding data definitions using Template Manager.

Support end-to-end report execution where XML data is merged with templates by the BI Publisher engine.

Report Execution & Distribution

Support report execution and output generation within the BI Publisher environment.

Enable report delivery via various channels such as: Email, Web portal, Printer

Troubleshoot template, data, and formatting issues during report generation.

Must have skills:

Oracle BI Publisher / Oracle Analytics Publisher

Microsoft Word (BI Publisher Desktop Add-in)

XML/XSL/X-PATH

RTF Templates

Preferred skills:

Good to Have but not mandatory: Oracle XML Publisher Administrator

Experience level (Years) : 8 to 10 YRS

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $ 105,000 Per year

Pay Range Maximum: $ 162,000 Per year

Compensation and Benefits:

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
