Engineering Technical Assistant

Position: Engineering Technical Assistant

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Pay: $30–$35/hour

Experience: 1 to 3 years of electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation technician experience preferred.

Education: Technical or trade school background, or some college with a science emphasis (engineering or science degrees not preferred).

Type: Full-time; Contract.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

HB Staffing is seeking an Engineering Technical Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Assist project engineers with engineering design and documentation tasks.
• Check calculations and analyze data for accuracy and discrepancies.
• Research parts and prepare spreadsheets, reports, and technical documentation.
• Review drawings, I/O lists, bills of materials, and spare parts lists.
• Help assemble technical submittal packages and FAT documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and internal departments.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to read electro-pneumatic-mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in project teams.
