The Role
- Lead comprehensive IT audits and systematic discovery of client environments, including on-site inspections and technical reviews.
- Evaluate systems against rigorous industry frameworks including NIST, CMMC, and SOC 2 to identify security gaps and misconfigurations.
- Document complex IT architectures and configurations within the MSP knowledge base to ensure a "single source of truth."
- Produce high-impact alignment reports and risk observations, providing actionable remediation roadmaps for technical teams.
- Collaborate with internal engineers to implement security improvements and repeat discovery cycles to maintain compliance integrity.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Google Workspace (GSuite) ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of Networking fundamentals and core business solutions including Backups, Endpoint Protection, and Cloud Security.
- Practical familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, CMMC, or SOC 2.
- Exceptional documentation skills and the ability to translate technical findings into clear, client-facing business recommendations.
- Residency in the Austin, TX metro area for required on-site client inspections and a methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving.
