- Act as the internal Backend architecture expert, establishing and driving technical standards.
- Enhance software quality by strategically refactoring and modernizing legacy codebases.
- Ensure system reliability and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to improve user experience.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering their development through guidance and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into successful executions.
- Be an exceptional communicator and collaborator, actively participating in code reviews and shared problem-solving within a distributed team operating across multiple time zones.
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 5 years, ideally 7-10 years, of Java development and backend engineering experience.
- Expertise in Java, complemented by experience in at least one additional backend and one frontend language.
- Proven experience in improving and modernizing legacy codebases.
- Strong background in automated testing.
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in microservices architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Excellent communication skills are essential for remote, collaborative work.
