What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Director, FP&A position at Havas Media Network?
Havas Media Group USA, the Media Experience agency, is looking for an Associate Director to join the FP&A Team, who is focused on using Meaningful Media to make a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and people.
Within Havas Media, the Associate Director of FP&A is responsible for all financial aspects of all entities within Havas Media US. Reporting to the SVP of FP&A, the Associate Director of Finance must be exceptionally proactive and talented at fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. He/she must excel at managing and building a strong team of Finance professionals that report directly to him/her.
A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT LOOK LIKE:
- Partners with the SVP of FP&A to manage the governance of all financial planning and controls for North America entities
- Responsible for delivery of timely and accurate production of monthly and annual financial reporting, including Budgeting/Forecasting deadlines and deliverables
- Direct the effective operations of internal financial programs and procedures and maintain productive relationships with external departments
- Develop analysis to help us better understand performance trends, impacts of decisions, identifying risks and opportunities
- Create senior leadership dashboards, value-added KPIs and actionable reporting to drive business insights and better decision-making
- Ensure revenue recognition policies are properly followed in accordance to GAAP
- Assist the finance lead of financial systems conversion and development, enhancing current reporting processes, driving automation of manual chores and supporting Havas Media’s overall financial systems strategy and reporting methodology.
- Liaise with the media tech department to ensure systems are in place and functioning properly at all key times, and any scheduled outages or upgrades avoid conflict with key reporting cycles
- Create ad-hoc reporting and scenario-based financial models upon request
WHAT YOU’LL NEED/SKILLS:
- 7-8 years of Accounting, Finance or Audit
- Media and advertising agency experience not required but preferred
- Strong work ethics
- Strong business acumen and capacity for fiscal responsibility
- Experience leading, building teams, developing careers and motivating others
- Exceptional Excel, PowerBI, Unit4 and/or other advanced reporting tool skills
- Demonstrated capacity for effective leadership and willingness to assume greater responsibility
- Ability to make recommendations to resolve problems or issues effectively, by using judgment that is in consistent with Agency standards, practices, policies, procedures, or regulations
