POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the development and maintenance of business application systems using modern structured programming techniques and tools in IBM i environment using Java, Javascript, CSS, HTML and SQL.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Using a defined set of requirements, develop systems by coding, debugging, and testing applications. This would include documentation for the given project.
- Support and maintain applications written in Java Javascript, and HTML5
- Adhere to existing coding standards and assist in developing standards and best practices as necessary to support the development environment.
- Investigate and resolve application issues.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Java and SQL
- Experience with IBM i systems management is a plus.
- Knowledge of technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Github, and RDI is a plus.
- Ability to effectively prioritize, manage and report project status.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional human relations skills along with strong oral and written skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of Associates degree in related field, Bachelors preferred.
- 2 years Java experience preferred.
