POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Conduct and engage in assignments related to new and existing products. Ensure product design criteria are maintained to meet Customer, Marketing, Agency and Quality Standards. Anticipate, analyze, and solve technical problems related to Company products.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with engineering team assisting on design and implementation of new products.
- Assist production team with troubleshooting of issues and implementation of solutions.
- Assist service technicians and customer service to diagnose and resolve field issues.
- Support development and maintain basic product design data with supporting documentation. This includes solid models and two-dimensional details of electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Work within existing business and engineering change systems to maintain production data including documentation, bills of materials, and shop floor routings.
- Coordinate with the Standards Engineer to ensure that all products meet appropriate standards. Conduct periodic engineering audits regarding product standards and submit reports as required.
- Aid in researching existing product designs for possible redesign as it relates to new technology and cost reductions, as directed.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance in establishing and revising quality standards for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to procure materials and components ensuring proper specifications and quality.
- Perform other related duties as requested by your supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of mechanical, sheet metal, and electrical design preferred.
- CAD experience – Modeling experience required. (CREO & Sheetmetal experience preferred)
- Good communication skills.
- Open and flexible attitude for a fast paced, evolving environment.
EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A 4-year degree in engineering or related sciences.
- 0 – 3 years’ experience in product development or manufacturing related engineering
