Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic

Hasse Contracting is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, construction machinery, company vehicles, and over-the-road trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment and diesel trucks
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Order parts and prepare repair estimates
• Complete service reports and maintenance records
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all company safety policies and regulations
• Travel throughout New Mexico as needed
• Work overtime and weekends when required

Qualifications

• Experience as a Heavy Equipment or Diesel Mechanic
• Diesel engine experience required
• Electrical diagnostic experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must provide a complete set of mechanic tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in varying weather conditions
• Ability to travel and operate vehicles during day and night hours
