We are currently looking for a General Foreman to join our team!
Job Responsibilities:
- Reports all near misses and first aids to Superintendent
- Take responsibility for crews /subcontractor safety by ensuring each person has the proper PPE and training for working in a safe environment
- Ensures crew members are inspecting tools daily and removing tools offside immediately if any are outside of manufacture specifications
- Can maintain a clean work area and inspect for tripping hazards daily
- Conducts daily crew stretch and flex exercises
- Creates the Plan of the Day and Hob Hazard Analysis
- Verifies equipment inspection logs, such as the forklift, skid steer, boom lift and scissor lift have been completed daily
- Supervises routine inspections of personal fall arrest systems for wear and tear, and takes damaged ones out of service
- Participates in weekly site safety audits with Superintendent and Project Manager
- Ensures crew correctly installs and maintains site fence, straw waddling, concrete wash out pits, tracking pads, rock sock s and other storm water BMP’s
- Completes Weekly Work Plans, forecasts, and ensures job has proper tools and materials two weeks ahead of time and communicates with Superintendent
- Knows estimated productivity for each task and can calculate actual productivity, compare it to what was estimated, and adjust meet/exceed productivity goals
- Ensures crew is organized: extra materials stored for future use, crew is keeping tool inventory and locking them up daily
- Trains others to read blueprints referring to structural drawings, wall types, wall elevations, rebar shop drawings, architectural, mechanical, electrical, lift drawings to verify measurements and details, and stay current with plan revisions
- Records concrete quantities and productivity units daily
- Completes pre-pour & post-pour checklists for each pour
- Completes post pour quality control with finishers
- Inspects shoring systems, falsework, and reshoring. Ensures systems are complete, at the correct centers, and in compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Assists Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in managing subcontractors.
- Assists with safety meetings and storm water inspections
Job Qualifications:
- Can use a computer to check email, print documents and enter data
- Ability to train others in a variety of skill sets
- Hardworking, organized and has a positive attitude
- Can take and apply direction from supervisor
- Display good verbal and written communication skills when working with other employees
- OSHA 10 hour is a plus
- Ability to provide their own safety footwear
- Workers must have reliable transportation, or be able to access jobsites in any location of the city
Pay: The pay for this position is $32.00 - $38.00 per hour, paid weekly.
