Supply Chain Analyst (Control Tower Operations)

Job Description

Summary: This role would be responsible for helping suppliers prioritize facility needs to ship material to keep Client Production lines running. They would lead Control Towers working directly with LPAs from multiple production and service facilities as well as the suppliers and buyers to prioritize what should be shipped to each facility. They would create an excel file showing need by facility and by week to show where the risk is.


Job Responsibilities:

- Study methods, and speed involved in production, and other operations to establish standard shipments and improve efficiency.

- Interpret supply chain demand or formulas and confer with management to determine ship plans

- Read logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications.

- Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with performance, production schedules, and anticipated delays.

- Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, material coverage and adherence to plan.


Skills:

- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.

- Team player and detail oriented.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.

- Previous experience with Client Supply Chain.


Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree preferred.

- 2-4 years experience required.

- With demand increasing, there is a need to support Power & Energy Suppliers that struggle with the demand increase to meet the needs of Client production and aftermarket facilities

- This role takes the noise and confusion away from the supplier and buyer


Typical task breakdown:

- Run meetings for control towers with LPAs and the supplier

- Create coverage files

- Create tracking tools to show performance


Interaction with team:

- Buyers, suppliers, LPA and a team of Control Tower leads


Team Structure

- This person would work then an expert in Coverage files


Work environment:

- Office environment, multiple phone calls per day

- May need to go to a supplier location where PPE maybe possible – supplier’s should be local


Education & Experience Required:

- Years of experience: 2-4

- Degree requirement: Bachelor's degree preferred.

- Open to 2 year degree with 6 years of experience

- Open to Master’s 0-2 years

- Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: LPA, SDE, Buyer
