VENTEON and Harvard Resource Solutions are hiring a Material Flow Simulation Engineer to provide support in Warren, MI. You will conduct custom studies to assist in modeling, simulating, and optimizing Material Flow. Take part in identifying bottlenecks and validating performance.
POSITION TYPE: Full time. In Office. Long term contract (Minimum 8 months) that can lead to a direct hire position at project end). Pay is open based on degree and years of relevant work experience.
Requirements of the Material Flow Simulation Engineer:
- Education: Bachelor degree is desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience translating plant layouts into simulation models using Autodesk Design Review, AutoCAD, and Siemens Plant Simulation software.
- Strong knowledge of material flow operations within a plant.
- In-depth understanding of General Assembly processes.
- Ability to work with ambiguous data.
- Strong analytical skills to address unusual or complex problems.
Duties of the Material Flow Simulation Engineer:
- Conduct custom studies to assist new vehicle programs, execution teams, and manufacturing plants.
- Support new vehicle programs.
- Troubleshoot and debug throughput simulation models.
- Convert simulation models between CDraw2 and Plant Simulation software.
- Create new MFS models.
- Combine MFS and TAS models.
- Travel to plant sites, as necessary.
- Gather and organize all necessary inputs for conducting a Material Flow simulation including Throughput Simulation model and existing Material flow simulation model.
- Analyze MFS results and provide insights and suggestions for improvement.
Salary : $40 - $50
