The Hartford School District is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to provide direct clinical and therapeutic services to students with emotional disturbance and autism in an alternative, therapeutic educational setting. This position works closely with educators, related service providers, and families to support students’ social-emotional, behavioral, and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy to students
- Deliver classroom-based mental health support and interventions
- Develop and implement therapeutic treatment and student support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, clinicians, therapists, and paraprofessionals
- Participate in IEP, evaluation, eligibility, transition, and student team meetings
- Support crisis intervention, safety assessments, and de-escalation
- Communicate and coordinate with families and community-based providers
- Facilitate student reintegration into less restrictive educational environments
- Participate in required trainings, including CPI certification
Salary : $44,882 - $94,823
