Responsibilities
- Apply drywall mudding, taping, texturing, and finishing techniques to create seamless wall surfaces
- Repair damaged drywall and perform patching to restore surfaces to their original condition
- Install drywall sheets accurately according to construction plans and schematics
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for drywall installation, texturing, and finishing tasks
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise application of materials
- Perform metal stud framing and assist with related carpentry tasks such as door hanging and trim installation
- Follow safety protocol adherence at all times, including construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall installation, mudding, taping, texturing, and repair within a construction environment
- Strong knowledge of construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and interpreting technical drawings
- Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, knives, sanders, as well as power tools like drills and spray guns
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and understanding of safety regulations in the construction workplace
- Experience with related trades such as plastering, framing (metal stud framing), flooring installation, or masonry is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently on-site in various conditions while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship
