Pay will be based on experience $20.00 to 27.00 Depending on your level of experience in the metal stud trade.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise metal stud framing crews, providing clear direction and mentorship to ensure quality workmanship.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing layouts.
- Oversee the installation of metal studs, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and secure fastening using hand tools and power tools.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain workflow efficiency and adherence to schedules.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site, promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Conduct quality inspections of framing work, making necessary adjustments for accuracy in dimensional measurements and structural integrity.
- Manage the use of heavy equipment when required for material handling or site preparation tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceilings, and or related construction fields with a strong understanding of construction plans and schematics.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience managing framing crews or construction teams.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding construction plans.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other essential carpentry equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; comfortable with heavy equipment operation if needed.
- Strong foundation in basic math skills including dimensional measurements and calculations necessary for accurate framing work.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions clearly.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety standards and quality control is essential.
