We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Cabinet Installer to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise cabinet installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to construction plans and schematics.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute installations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools for woodworking, CNC machines, and woodworking machines to cut, assemble, and install cabinetry and fixtures.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to schedule work phases and ensure timely completion.
- Perform heavy lifting, precise fixture installation, door hanging, siding work, and metal stud framing as needed on-site.
- Maintain strict adherence to power tool safety protocols while operating equipment such as saws, drills, sanders, and other woodworking tools.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the installation process to ensure craftsmanship meets industry standards; address any issues promptly.
- Support site safety by enforcing proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), managing scaffolding or lift equipment safely.
- Assist in remodeling projects involving flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, stucco application, or water damage restoration when required.
- Document project progress through detailed reports; communicate effectively with team members about project timelines and challenges.
Skills
- Extensive experience in residential carpentry with a focus on cabinet installation and trim carpentry.
- Strong ability to read construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, saws), CNC equipment, and woodworking machinery.
- Knowledge of wood construction materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwoods; familiarity with metal studs and framing techniques.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings related to cabinetry fabrication and installation details.
- Experience with construction estimating processes for project planning and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with safety standards including power tool safety protocols and proper handling of heavy lifting tasks.
- Ability to perform drywall finishing (plastering), caulking, stucco application, siding work, roofing basics or masonry when needed for restoration projects.
- Knowledge of plumbing or electrical experience beneficial for integrated fixture installations or remodeling projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a team effectively while maintaining high-quality workmanship in fast-paced environments.
