They are seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join a highly technical team responsible for building production machine learning systems that have direct commercial impact.

THE ROLE
As a Staff Data Scientist, you'll lead the development of production machine learning solutions from data preparation through deployment and ongoing optimization.
Working across recommendation systems, predictive modeling, experimentation, and optimization, you'll build models that directly influence customer experiences while helping establish technical direction across the wider Data Science organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deploy production machine learning models for personalization, prediction, and optimization
- Build scalable feature engineering pipelines using modern cloud data platforms
- Design and analyze large-scale experiments to measure product performance and business impact.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to solve complex analytical problems.
- Deploy, monitor, and continuously improve machine learning models in production.
- Champion best practices across model development, experimentation, and code quality.
- Contribute to the evolution of machine learning infrastructure and deployment processes
- Communicate technical findings and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience in Data Science or Machine Learning
- Strong experience building and deploying production machine learning models using Python & SQL
- Experience developing predictive models, recommendation systems, ranking models, pricing models, or similar large-scale ML applications
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Familiarity with data orchestration and transformation tools including dbt, Airflow, Spark, or similar technologies.
- Strong statistical knowledge including experimentation and hypothesis testing
- Experience working with modern ML tooling such as MLflow, SageMaker, Ray, Spark, or equivalent
- Comfortable writing production-quality software and collaborating closely with engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders preferred
- Experience within consumer technology, digital platforms, online marketplaces, financial services, e-commerce, advertising technology, or other large-scale digital businesses
