Position Overview
We
are seeking an Accounting Specialist to support
daily financial operations, month-end close, cost control, and reporting
activities.
This role is
essential in ensuring accounting accuracy, compliance, and timely financial
reporting across multiple business locations.
The ideal candidate
is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in AP/AR, reconciliation,
and month-end tasks.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Expense
& Payment Management
- Review
and process company credit card usage, travel expenses, and
reimbursements.
- Ensure expenses follow company policy and align with budget
guidelines.
Month-End
Close & Financial Reporting Support
- Input
and verify revenue, cost, and expense data for monthly closing.
- Perform daily bank-to-ledger cross-checks to ensure accurate
postings.
- Prepare account schedules and support reconciliation for
multi-location operations.
- Assist with issuing invoices and maintaining accounting
documentation.
AR/AP
Management
- Maintain
worksheets for AR/AP and ensure accurate daily posting.
- Reconcile incoming/outgoing bank transactions and resolve
discrepancies.
Expense
Tracking & Analysis
- Prepare
monthly budget vs. actual expense reports.
- Track specific cost categories such as meal allowances and
insurance premiums.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or cost management
- Hands-on
experience with reconciliation, month-end close, and
AP/AR
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP,
Paychex, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial
reporting)
- Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and organizational
skills
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and
meet deadlines
Preferred
- Strong
communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
