What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Marine Electrical Engineer position at Hardware FYI?
- Develop and engineer marine electrical systems for new vessel construction and fleet sustainment.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance plans and procedures for critical electrical systems.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors performing build execution and maintenance activities on marine vessel electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot problems, diagnose faults, recommend repairs, and develop repair scopes.
- Improve upon system design to mitigate repetitive failures and increase reliability.
- Develop drawings and specifications to define requirements for vessel repairs and modifications.
- Perform work in compliance with applicable standards for marine applications.
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with complex electrical design, operations, and maintenance.
- Experience in subcontract management of suppliers.
- Strong project management and team leadership skills.
- Demonstrated project planning and schedule development capabilities.
- Strong safety mindset and experience in hazardous operations.
- Desired: Florida Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain certification.
