What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Center Engineer, Electrical Engineering position at Hardware FYI?
Develop and implement High, Medium, and Low Voltage system physical design using Air-Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas-Insulated Substations (GIS) products.
Develop and review power system studies, grounding calculations, current transformer sizing, voltage drop, etc.
Ensure familiarity with IEC and ANSI/NEMA standards.
Develop new electrical product solutions for Switchgear, Transformers, Energy Storage, and Micro Grids for mission-critical facilities.
Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to drive implementation of infrastructure improvements.
Communicate recommendations to senior-level executives.
Serve as an expert in electrical engineering specialties, focusing on compliance and efficiency improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field.
5 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction.
Experience with electrical infrastructure and data center equipment.
Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering or relevant fields.
Preferred: Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Understanding of startup/commissioning processes for electrical systems.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
