What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineering Intern position at Hardware FYI?
- Design electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection and PCB design.
- Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment and software debugging tools.
- Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver functional products.
- Manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages.
- Support new developments and customer-operated hardware in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in an in-person 12-week internship program.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Must be a rising senior and returning to school after the internship.
- U.S. Person status required for accessing export-controlled data.
- Familiarity with test equipment and software development processes.
- Proficiency in C/C and common programming languages.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills.
- Experience with electronic design automation tools is preferred.
