The Tax Senior Associate is responsible for executing and completing client assignments while assisting in the supervision and development of team members. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys client interaction, takes ownership of work quality, and is ready to grow into increased leadership responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review a wide range of federal and state tax returns, including individual, partnership, and corporate returns
- Execute client assignments from planning through completion while meeting deadlines and budget expectations
- Identify and resolve errors or issues quickly and thoroughly
- Apply appropriate tax law and accounting knowledge to client situations
- Assist in supervising, training, and mentoring associates
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients and manage ongoing client relationships
- Identify tax planning opportunities during compliance work and communicate them to the engagement team
- Participate in engagement planning meetings and provide meaningful input
- Actively collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented culture
Qualifications
- CPA or Enrolled Agent license completed or actively in progress
- 2β5 years of public accounting tax experience
- Solid understanding of federal and state tax laws and accounting principles
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop junior team members
- BA in Accounting or similar field of study
