Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities tailored to toddler age groups, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, early intervention strategies, and Montessori principles.
- Manage classroom routines, behavior management, and transitions to promote positive social interactions and independence.
- Collaborate with families to share progress updates, address concerns, and support ongoing developmental milestones.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of childcare and education quality.
- Conduct assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental achievements.
- Plan lessons that integrate physical education, math concepts, and early childhood education best practices to foster holistic growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, with a focus on toddlers.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education programs.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention practices, and child welfare standards.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Certification in early childhood education or equivalent credentials; Montessori certification is a plus.
- Prior classroom experience in private schools or daycare environments is preferred; bilingual abilities are an advantage. Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
