Responsibilities
- Supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Oversee food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance culinary skills, customer service, and team collaboration.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking with accuracy.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet service demands while maintaining high standards of hospitality.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to foster a motivated and skilled team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurant environments.
- Must have tummy safe or Servsafe certification.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively, with experience in training, interviewing, and team leadership.
- Familiarity with inventory control, food safety management, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis.
- Excellent communication skills suited for managerial roles in hospitality settings; capable of managing hospitality teams with confidence.
- Prior experience in casual dining or fine dining establishments is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
