- Provides a review of Security Police Officer post orders and applicable supporting policies.
- Updates content and refines guidance to ensure all documents reflect correct business practices and alignment with physical security needs.
- Provides support to Protective Force Safety Organization in special projects, concern resolution, and field training and evaluations.
- Manage Patrol classified documents; to include the SIRP.
- Liaison with the Vulnerability Assessment (VA) group to ensure Patrol alignment with VA.
- Provides support to field training exercises.
- Acts as primary Emergency Preparedness Coordinator and assigned to tactical support group as directed. Conducts liaison with security partners to include Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Waste Treatment Plant, Energy Northwest and other contractors.
- Building administrator for 2720 EA and prox-card administrator for Patrol facilities.
- Conducts relief as directed for Hanford Patrol Shift Supervisors.
- BA/BS degree in criminal justice, business administration, or related discipline, plus a minimum of five of years experience, of which two years must include experience as a Protective Force Shift Lieutenant, or POC/CAS Lieutenant, or Trainer Instructor, - OR - an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Currently meet and maintain, at a minimum, SPOI qualification.
- Must be able to obtain Hanford Incident Command Certifications.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must maintain a Department of Energy Federal Commission, Washington State Driver's License, and
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a "Q" Clearance. Any offer of employment is contingent on the applicant passing a background investigation. As part of the investigation, Federal investigators will examine many aspects of the applicant's past including: financial and criminal histories, mental and emotional health, education and travel, drug and alcohol usage, personal and organizational relationships, as well as other aspects of the applicant's background.
