Job Summary
A hotel maintenance worker is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of hotel facilities by performing repairs, maintenance, and inspections on various systems and equipment.
- General Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hotel facilities.
- Repairs: Address and repair issues related to guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, including fixing leaks, replacing light fixtures, and maintaining appliances.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks to identify potential issues before they become major problems, ensuring guest safety and comfort.
- Guest Interaction: Respond to guest requests and complaints regarding maintenance issues, providing timely and effective solutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Organize and manage maintenance inventory, including tools and supplies, and request additional materials as needed.
- Safety and security: Ensure all public areas are clear of debris and snow.
- Other duties as assigned: In the wonderful world of hospitality, you never know what each day may bring.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with hotel operations, custodial services, or maintenance
- Experience in welding is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility & adaptability, able to move from one task to other
- Ability to work in both a fast-paced & slow-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in any environment.
- Ability to be on your feet for duration of you shift
- Ability to bend, squat, push, pull, & lift
