Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with proper chemical handling procedures.
• Manage front desk operations by greeting guests warmly, checking them in and out promptly, and providing accurate information about hotel amenities and services.
• Prepare and serve breakfast items in accordance with health and safety standards, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests.
• Maintain sanitation standards by properly handling cleaning chemicals and adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to prevent accidents or chemical exposure.
• Assist with hotel emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring guest safety at all times.
• Use cleaning equipment effectively while practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury during heavy lifting or repetitive tasks.
• Support hotel housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, especially within hotel housekeeping or hospitality settings.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, polishing, and chemical agent handling.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently throughout the shift.
• Understanding of hotel housekeeping management procedures and sanitation standards.
• Experience with hotel emergency procedures and adherence to safety protocols is advantageous.
