Summary
We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer with strong expertise in 4G/5G wireless communication simulations to design, enhance, and debug cellular RF simulation platforms. The role focuses on MAC and PHY layer modeling, design verification, simulation analysis, and performance validation using MATLAB/Simulink, with supporting automation in Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and debug RF communication simulation and productivity features
- Perform design verification testing for new features and enhancements
- Analyze parameter changes and document their impact on system performance
- Debug complex simulation and modeling issues
- Validate simulation results against theoretical models and real‑world measurements
- Integrate and manage source code from multiple contributors
- Execute testing for every release and generate release reports
- Archive reports and results in project repositories
- Publish release notes and technical updates to the project team
Must‑Have Skills (Mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or equivalent
- 8–10 years of experience in RF / Wireless Communications
- Strong knowledge of 3GPP 4G/5G standards, especially MAC and PHY layers
- Extensive hands‑on experience with MATLAB‑based RF simulations
- Experience in 4G LTE, 5G NR, and NTN (Non‑Terrestrial Networks)
- Ability to develop, maintain, debug, and enhance RF simulation features
- Experience performing design verification testing (DVT) and simulation validation
- Strong debugging skills for complex simulation and performance issues
- Ability to compare simulation results with theoretical and measured data
- 2 years of Python programming for engineering or simulation workflows
- Experience integrating code from multiple internal teams and external vendors
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with MATLAB RF, Signal Processing, or Communications Toolboxes
- Working knowledge of Simulink
- Exposure to AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) for engineering software
- Experience creating clear, concise, and visually effective engineering presentations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross‑functional R&D teams
