Position Overview
We’re hiring a Bookkeeper to join our internal team and support our small-business clients year-round (not just during tax season chaos). This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in accurate books, enjoys problem-solving, and understands that bookkeeping is the foundation of great tax planning.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain accurate books for multiple small-business clients
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Record journal entries and maintain clean general ledgers
- Assist with payroll entries, AP/AR, and account clean-ups
- Collaborate with accountants to ensure books are tax-ready
- Identify and resolve discrepancies proactively (before they become “uh-oh” moments)
- Communicate clearly with clients to request documents and answer questions
What We’re Looking For
- 1–5 years of bookkeeping experience (QuickBooks-focused)
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (Desktop a plus)
- Solid understanding of GAAP-based bookkeeping
- Experience working with small businesses
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
- Reliable, accountable, and comfortable asking questions when needed
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification
- Experience working in a CPA or accounting firm
- Payroll and sales tax experience
