This role contributes to strategy, business process optimization, system implementation, and operational readiness. The analyst will work across teams, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, internal controls, and business objectives while delivering high-visibility project outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:Customer & Operational SupportContribute to a customer-focused culture that strengthens relationships and enhances operational excellenceEnsure alignment with governance, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and internal policy frameworksProject & System ImplementationManage and support complex multi-faceted initiatives addressing strategic transaction banking needsPrepare and manage detailed project/action plansConduct deep research and analysis to inform operational best practicesParticipate in system training and develop training materials for Operations usersDefine test plans and create test cases for UT, IST, and UAT cyclesClearly document business requirements on behalf of OperationsAct as SME supporting concurrent workstreamsLiaise with users, vendors, and regulatory bodiesProcess & Model DevelopmentDevelop comprehensive understanding of transaction banking products and operating modelsDocument future-state processes, policies, procedures, knowledge libraries, and job aidsCreate and maintain operational metrics used across multiple business tiersBusiness Process OptimizationReengineer existing tools and workflows to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and mitigate operational riskApply business, financial, and process engineering knowledge to deliver measurable improvementsCross-Functional CollaborationProvide high-level professional service while coordinating across internal/external stakeholdersCommunicate effectively to ensure milestone delivery ahead of scheduleIntegrate risk culture and appetite into daily activities and decisionsRequired Experience:3–6 years as a Business Analyst in transaction banking or transaction productsKnowledge of corporate/commercial deposits and back-office processes2 years of UAT experienceStrong skills in MS Office, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel3 years experience with JIRA/Confluence3 years experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar fieldNice-to-Have Experience:Business Analysis certificationConsulting or FinTech backgroundStrong documentation writing capabilityRequired Skills:Transaction banking BA expertiseUAT test planning & executionMS Office & process documentationJIRA/Confluence proficiencyAgile/Waterfall methodologyPreferred Skills:Consulting backgroundFINtech or FI operational experienceStrong negotiation & influencing skillsAdditional Skills:Operational risk and regulatory compliance awarenessTraining developmentSME-level supportStakeholder managementProcess engineering and cost-reduction initiativesBenefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the Company:A leading Canadian bank providing comprehensive financial services across retail, commercial, wealth management, and wholesale banking.
