Job Summary:
Join the team supporting spaceflight systems development by managing external suppliers and procurement activities in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This position requires a detail-oriented procurement professional capable of handling complex contracting strategies, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing initiatives in a high-stakes aerospace environment.
Join the team supporting spaceflight systems development by managing external suppliers and procurement activities in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This position requires a detail-oriented procurement professional capable of handling complex contracting strategies, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing initiatives in a high-stakes aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct suppliers and teammates to support spaceflight system development
- Ensure program requirements are prioritized and executed in alignment with strategic goals
- Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs, conduct price analysis, and develop negotiation strategies
- Construct and manage a variety of contract types, including Long-Term Agreements (LTAs)
- Lead the full procurement lifecycle — from requisition through invoice resolution
- Identify and execute strategic agreements and sourcing partnerships
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials that meet technical and financial requirements
- Support broader procurement initiatives aligned with corporate objectives
Required Experience:
- Knowledge of procurement and supplier management
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Experience negotiating multiple contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPIF)
- Strong track record in deadline-driven and ambiguous environments
- Experience analyzing data and tracking program metrics
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Prior experience in Space or Aerospace industries
- Experience with Avionics or Fluids components
- Understanding of ITAR/EAR regulations
- CPSM or CSCP certification
- PMP certification
- Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint, Jira, and SharePoint
Required Skills:
- Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) knowledge
- Contract negotiation and lifecycle management
- Supplier and procurement coordination
Preferred Skills:
- Analytical and data tracking proficiency
- Aerospace or spaceflight supply chain knowledge
- Engineering data comprehension (specs, source control drawings)
Additional Skills:
- AS9100 standards understanding
- Communication and stakeholder engagement
- Strategic agreement implementation
