Key Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process freight claims in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Investigate claims by gathering documentation such as bills of lading, proof of delivery, photos, and invoices.
- Communicate with carriers, brokers, and customers to obtain supporting evidence and negotiate claim resolutions.
- Track claim status from initial filing to final resolution and ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain detailed records of claims in the company’s TMS or claim management system.
- Analyze claim trends and report recurring issues to management for process improvement.
- Collaborate with the dispatch, customer service, and accounting teams to ensure accurate and fair settlements.
- Assist in developing and implementing procedures to minimize future claims.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional, solution-oriented approach.
