What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Construction Manager position at GTA (Global Technology Associates)?
Key Responsibilities
- Attend project Kick-Off meetings with Project Managers covering all aspects of fiber construction.
- Bid walks
- Pre-construction walks
- In-progress site checks
- Punch walks
- Construction closeout
- Utilize PowerBI and other business intelligence platforms to analyze and present project data (OTP, CRM assignments, etc.).
- Represent the company during customer and transportation authority meetings as an SME.
- Develop customer relationships to support new business opportunities.
- Submit and manage Change Management tickets.
- Coordinate with external vendors, developers, and municipalities.
- Direct general contractors according to specification requirements.
- Manage permitting and licensing requirements in public/private ROW and understand variations by municipality and pole owner.
- Ensure adherence to company construction standards, processes, and procedures.
- Promote workplace and field safety awareness across all teams.
- Communicate issues affecting project timeline, risks, or cost impact to Project Managers and customers.
- Review As-Built drawings and verify material quantities.
- Maintain accurate job data in project tracking systems.
- Act as escalation point to drive vendor corrective action after internal closeout reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of OSP and fiber construction scopes
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- CRM familiarity
- Skilled at task prioritization and adaptability in dynamic environments
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service orientation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent project activities
- Working knowledge of:
- OSHA standards, laws, and safety procedures
- Construction management best practices
- Proficient reviewing As-Built drawings to confirm accurate quantities
- Computer-savvy, with project management software experience
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Are you able to work a hybrid schedule with approximately 70% field work and 30% work-from-home, and travel anywhere across the Irvine–Los Angeles area Monday–Friday?
- Do you have working knowledge of permitting processes in public/private right-of-way and familiarity with municipalities and pole owners?
- Are you proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with CRM tools and/or PowerBI?
- Do you have a valid in-state driver’s license and are you comfortable making regular trips to various construction sites (bid walks, inspections, punch walks, closes, etc.)?
