As a Property Division Director, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of complex acquisition projects that include both professional services and IT support for Department of Defense (DoD) and civilian agencies.
Location of position: Federal Acquisition Service, Office of Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS).

The GS-15 salary range starts at $169,279 per year.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience: is directing and managing enterprise-level property and acquisition management programs in a fee-for-service environment, while delivering integrated solutions to multiple customers or agencies. This experience must include:
- Overseeing the full lifecycle management of government-furnished and contractor-acquired property, from acquisition
planning through utilization, accountability, and final disposition; - Directing and evaluating physical inventories, loss investigations, and contract closeout activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and defensible outcomes;
- Identifying, analyzing, and resolving highly complex acquisition and property management issues with significant financial, operational, and programmatic impact; and
- Managing financial resources and personnel by providing direction to a team of acquisition/property administration professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provides senior-level leadership and serves as the principal point of contact for assigned client sectors on matters related to property administration, project execution, and acquisition support. Translates customer mission needs into executable property and project management strategies, ensuring alignment with acquisition planning, contract structure, and regulatory requirements. Advises contracting officers, program leadership, and senior stakeholders as well as senior client officials on complex, high-risk, or precedent-setting property and project management issues.
- Ensures effective lifecycle management of government-furnished and contractor-acquired property, from acquisition through disposition, across multiple agencies, contractors, and locations.
- Applies risk-based oversight principles to determine appropriate levels of surveillance and management attention across the portfolio. Ensures property-related deliverables are integrated with project management, financial, and acquisition activities to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Exercises responsibility for the fiscal health of the division by aligning resources, staffing, and workload with funded requirements and organizational priorities. Assesses financial impacts associated with property decisions, including loss investigations, property disposition, and asset transfers. Oversees tracking of client funding, contractor expenditures, and appropriations to ensure compliance and prevent lapses in obligated funds.
- Serves as an immediate supervisor for Property and Project Managers, providing leadership, direction, and accountability for execution of property administration and project management functions across the division. Assigns work and establishes priorities based on mission requirements, portfolio risk, regulatory complexity, and resource availability; ensures equitable distribution of workload and alignment with organizational goals.
