Electrical Project Manager
Gross Electric, Inc. – Capital District, NY
Gross Electric, Inc., a 30 year established electrical contractor, is continuing to grow and is looking to add experienced Project Managers to our team in the Capital District region of New York.
We are seeking driven, self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and a minimum of 8 years of experience in the electrical industry, with the ability to manage projects across industrial and institutional sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, track, and maintain project milestones, schedules, and performance metrics
- Work closely with General Foremen and field leadership to maximize workforce productivity and efficiency
- Develop, update, and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion
- Build and manage project budgets, including tracking earned value and cost performance throughout the lifecycle
- Oversee pay applications, job cost reporting, rental equipment, and financial performance to maintain profitability
- Forecast and project costs to complete at key milestones with a high level of accuracy
- Procure and manage labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors in alignment with project needs
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, always representing the company’s best interests
- Identify challenges early and provide practical, “outside-the-box” solutions and value engineering opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 8 years of electrical construction experience, preferably in a project management role
- Strong understanding of industrial and institutional electrical work
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and priorities
- Solid financial acumen with experience in job costing and forecasting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
