Job Overview
Greg's Speed Shop is seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our team. We're looking for a skilled Fabricator to join our growing speed shop. If you enjoy building high-performance vehicles and take pride in quality craftsmanship, we'd like to talk with you.
Duties
- Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication
- Use power tools, hand tools, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
- Fabricate sheet metal products by cutting, bending, welding, and assembling parts according to specifications
- Operate forklifts and machining tools as needed for material handling and fabrication processes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures and protocols during fabrication and welding activities
Experience
- Hands-on experience with metal fabrication in a shop or field setting
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for accurate fabrication
- Demonstrated ability to perform various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW in accordance with industry standards
- Experience working with sheet metal materials for fabrication
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
- Pay based on experience
- Full-time position Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30
- Work on exciting custom performance builds
